Q. What is your service call?
A. A trip made by our service tech to visit the location for something in need of repair or install. These items are small in size, usually lasting no more than 2 days.
Q. Is there a charge for a service call?
A. There is a minimal fee charge. The minimal fee is either listed as "Up to first hour Troubleshooting" or "Minimal fee". This amount has been calculated to provide services for the 1 small project or for our team to start figuring out your electrical problems. Example: hang one fan or your outlet doesn't work. This allows us to provide the service to even the smallest projects.
Q. Is the "minimal fee" a charge for the estimate or price?
A. No, the estimate or price is free. However, we do have to know where the problem is, in order to fix it. In some cases, troubleshooting is necessary to determine exactly where the problem is. In such cases, the minimal fee or Up to first hour troubleshooting will apply.
Q: When do I pay for a service call, and why do I need to sign a contract for one?
A: Payment is due at time of service. The signature is required to protect the customer and McQuagge Electric from misunderstandings of work performed. It shows that both parties are aware of and agree to the project. This shall be signed before any work is started. We accept many payment types. Credit Cards, Checks and Cash (cash only to be paid after office is notified.)
